Taylor M.D., the Medical Director of Le Visage ENT & Facial Plastic Surgery,Bethesda, Maryland , was recognized for his service, accomplishments and contributions to the specialty while attending the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery annual meeting held in San Francisco ,Sept. 10-14. Now in its 115th year, the Annual Meeting & OTO EXPO is “the world’s largest gathering of otolaryngologists.” This meeting is held each fall, with thousands of Academy members, non-member physicians, allied health professionals, administrators, and exhibiting companies attending. It draws more than 6,000 medical experts and professionals from around the world.

Dr. Duane Taylor Speaks to Physicians on Office based Balloon Sinus Procedures |

Dr. Duane Taylor , Bethesda , Maryland presented a lecture on the topic of Office Based Minimally Invasive Procedures in the Treatment of Sinus Disease , for the Otolaryngology Section of the National Medical Association‘s Annual meeting held from July 24-28 , 2011 in Washington D.C. The talk was attended by Ear, Nose and Throat physicians from around the country and Caribbean .The technology which Dr. Duane Taylor talked about is performed in the office and uses a balloon to widen the passages which lead from the sinuses to the nose.

On June 18, 2011 Dr. Duane Taylor, spoke to residents and medical faculty at the annual seminar sponsored by the Howard University Hospital Medical Alumni Association. The program was entitled New Paradigms in Practice Management. Dr. Taylor ‘s presentation included an overview of the opportunities, value and benefits of being involved in organized medicine including national, state, local and specialty societies . His presentation included information about how these societies can keep physicians updated on changing policies in the health care environment ,enhance networking opportunities as well as inform them about resources that enhance patient safety and care . Dr. Duane Taylor serves currently as the President-Elect of the Montgomery County Medical Society and serves on the Board of Directors of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery . The practice of Dr. Duane J. Taylor is observing “World Voice Day,” an international health observance day for the human voice, on April 16, 2011. On this day the public is asked to assess voice quality and recognize that harmful speaking techniques, alcohol, and tobacco abuse can easily and irrevocably damage the voice. Bethesda Ear,Nose and Throat Physician Testifies on Capitol Hill for Clean Air |

(Washington D.C., March 11, 2011)
Dr. Duane Taylor, an Ear, Nose and Throat Physician from Bethesda, Maryland was one of several representatives from major organizations speaking on behalf of maintaining Clean Air and Drinking Water for a Press Conference with the U.S. Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works. Dr. Duane Taylor , who represented the National Medical Association was introduced by the Chair of the Committee Senator Barbara Boxer(D-CA).He spoke in support of the position to preserve the programs of the Environmental Protection Agency and their funding. He indicated in his remarks the "Low income populations,ethnic minorities, children, the elderly and those with compromised respiratory and immune systems are most vulnerable and at most risk of exposure to toxins and poisons if the EPA cannot perform core public health functions." He also added " we all deserve to have clean air and drinking water and it should be at priority". |

(Bethesda, MD-December 1, 2009) For the month of December, the Montgomery County Medical Society Alliance and the Montgomery County Medical Society will collect new teddy bears and other plush stuffed animals for the Tree House Child Assessment Center of Montgomery County. These stuffed animals will be given to children who may have suffered neglect, physical and/or sexual abuse. The Tree House Child Assessment Center of Montgomery County assesses approximately thirty children each month. The Tree House provides a safe, neutral, culturally-sensitive, child-focused setting, and the stuffed animal provides comfort at a very difficult time for the child. For more details click here |

As one of 15 members who advise the County Executive, County Council, and Department of Health and Human Services on the development of the Montgomery Cares Program, which provides quality primary health care, referrals to discounted outpatient specialty care, and limited prescription medications for low-income, uninsured County residents. The Board's goal is to ensure a steady and measurable growth in the number of uninsured County residents accessing high quality and efficient health care services.
